1000 Standing Rocks

“A new standard has been established from the lessons and experiences of Standing Rock. Now we must all bring it together. Remember the Veterans! Invite them home to rebuild your Bio-Region. We Have Lift Off

If Donald Trump wanted to reward the red states in the heart lands
he could fund new eco villages and pay veterans to help with natural security support team of teams right there where we can bring our land, our water, and our biosphere get back to full health. Probably cost about as much as a new fighter plane. This time we put the police on the same team! see earthbattalion.com page 2 for details. ~Jim

The Suprising Social Life of Trees

I planted several acres of food forest with mixed hardwoods sprinkled in. They grew for about 13 years …each species pretty much tended to its own. Then. One I felt clearly that all the trees began to affiliate. Since then they all call the wind when in joy and dance wildly together in rushes. I mix the leaf shapes now to regulate the synphony. I include palms because they are dancers. My forest is alive. (more…)

Jim Channon, does he Stare at Goats?

FACT OR FICTION?
HOW DOES THE MOVIE “THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS” RELATE TO THE FIRST EARTH BATTALION?
The movie evolved from a book of the same title written by British journalist and political satirist Jon Ronson. The title of the book and film is based on an experimental lab that once existed at Fort Bragg, NC where the military reportedly attempted to disorient goats simply by staring at them.

Nomadic Notions

Intended as a respite for displaced populations, these lightweight, collapsable shelters may be the new gypsy chic;

The movement of people across the earth led to the discovery of new territories as well as the creation of new communities among strangers forming towns, cities, and nations,” writes designer, Abeer Seikaly in her  brief”Navigating this duality between exploration and settlement, movement and stillness is a fundamental essence of what it means to be human.”
